Technical measures for steel structures
When the steel structure is damaged, we should find and solve the problem immediately. The main factors of the steel structure damage are:
1) insufficient structural bearing capacity caused by load changes, overdue service and changes in specifications and regulations;
2) due to various accidental deformation, distortion, disability and sag of the member, the member section is weakened, the member warps, the connection is cracked, etc.;
3) deformation, cracking and warping of components or connections caused by temperature difference;
4) the section of steel structural members is weakened by corrosion caused by chemical erosion and electrochemical corrosion;
5) others include mistakes in design, production and construction, illegal use and operation during service period, etc.
There are three kinds of reinforcement techniques for steel structures:
1) section reinforcement method: steel reinforcement is used locally or along the whole length of the member to form a whole to make it bear the force together;
2) change the calculation diagram: add additional supports, adjust the load distribution, reduce the internal force level, force displacement of the statically indeterminate structure support, and reduce the stress peak;
3) prestressed cable method: use high-strength cable to reinforce weak links of the structure or improve the overall bearing capacity, stiffness and stability of the structure.
