The shape of the sports swimming pool is quite unique. As you can see from the picture, it looks like a butterfly's wings. However, it is linked to a swimming pool, which feels like a huge "bikini". The maximum span of the long axis of the swimming pool roof is 164 meters, and the maximum span of the short axis is 129.6 meters . The roof of the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool covering the three units of the lower concrete structure is a complete steel mesh shell structure, which naturally extends to an 8m platform, and the roof surface is a free form surface. The roof of the swimming pool and the gymnasium area adopts a double-layer reticulated shell structure with variable thickness and oblique cross. The diamond-shaped grid of the reticulated shell has a side length of about 5m and a diagonal length of about 6.3mx9.2m.
