YasViceroy Hotel is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Half of the hotel is built on land, and the other half is on the water. The seemingly separated halves are blended together by the structure of the reticulated shell covering the outer layer. The whole building is not only elegant and dreamy under the night, but also can leave a grand atmosphere in the daytime.
The hotel ’s reticulated spatial structure is enough to amaze you, which is definitely a great engineering initiative. The 219-meter-wide giant spatial structure and 5,096 diamond-shaped glass plates are perfectly inlaid, like a mysterious "veil" draped over the two hotel buildings. The two buildings are connected by a bridge that spans the race track and is magnificent. The hotel and the surrounding Abu Dhabi race track, the sea and the desert landscape complement each other, and its brilliant colors are a visual "gluttonous feast".
At the same time, the regular and symmetrical but gradually changing structural members make people's eyes continue to flow with the lines, and the thinking diverges along the extension of the members.
