1.welding hollow sphere joints, the advantages are easy structure and fabrication, beautiful shape with omni-directionality, can connect pipes in any direction. its disadvantage is that the ball node is made of the same thickness steel plate, so the stress concentration is obvious at the junction with the steel pipe, and the stress peak value is formed to make the force of the ball uneven. Due to the steel pipe and the ball are orthogonal connection, the weld length is equal to the circumference of the steel pipe, there is no margin, the welding seam must be as strong as the steel pipe, and in most cases, the workpiece can not turn over during welding, resulting in a circle of welding seam in the horizontal, lateral, and inverted all position welding, so the welding requirements are high and difficult.
2.bolt ball joints. The advantages of this kind of joints are that the manufacturing accuracy is guaranteed by the factory, small node, light weight, fast installation and short assembly time, this will be benefit to shorten the construction cycle. The fabrication cost is higher than that of welded hollow ball joint type, but the assembling cost is lower. Such nodes can be used to construct temporary facilities for easy disassembly. Its disadvantage is that there are many parts that constitute the node, which increases the manufacturing cost. The slotting in high-strength bolt is unfavorable to its stress, and it is not easy to check whether it is tightened during installation.  Special attention should be paid to the sealing anti-corrosion treatment at the joint surface during installation,, especially in the high humidity area should pay attention to anti-corrosion measures.
3.welded steel plate joints: simple in structure, low in cost, but heavy workload in site installation
4.support node: can be directly installed on the top of the column or supported on the ring beam, brick wall.
